This is the main reason I object to what he is doing, because he is claiming his idea is unique enough to patent when it has been done before. Using your reasoning, Ford could have patented the "car" and been done with it. His is unique from the other testers I've seen. Ford can't patent a car, but they can patent unique aspects of it.
